What are Proof Groups?

Proof Groups are customizable categories that allow users to filter proofs based on the assigned group. Proof groups can also provide valuable data when reporting on your proof information. Commonly used proof groups can be defined as department, business units, client, campaign, or project types (print, email, etc.).

Proof Groups are only available for inMotion subscriptions that do not include project management.

Creating Proof Groups

As an Administrator, you can create custom Proof Groups by navigating to Account > Account Setting > Customize > Proof Groups.

  1. To create a new group, simply enter the group name into the 'New Proof Group' section and click 'Create.'
  2. Optional: You can also select whether or not to 'Allow users to add proof groups.' Check the box to enable or disable this option as needed.

Assigning Proof Groups

Proof Groups are selected at proof upload or from an existing proof info page. From the Add Content screen, click 'Select/Edit' under 'Assign a Proof Group' in Step 2 to assign or if enabled, create relevant groups. 

Once you have made your selections, click SAVE to continue your proof upload.

Using Proof Groups in the Workspace

Once Proof Groups have been assigned, you can then filter your Proofs Workspace by selecting the group you would like to see by using the Proof Group drop down menu. You can also sort your workspace by Proof Groups alphabetically by clicking on the Proof Group column header.
